There are two vital things to remember about God’s timing. The first is found in Peter’s writings. He says: But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. (II Peter 3:8) I share this in my defense. THE JESUS MINUTE may not be exactly 60 seconds. THE JESUS MINUTE is calculated on God’s timing, not mine.
The second thing to remember about God’s timing is there’s a difference between God’s timing (the ‘kairos’) and man’s timing (the ‘chronos’). God’s time zone is when the timing of God intersects your timing. When is the last time you sensed that God was intersecting your life with His? Have you ever had that experience? In order for you to know the ‘kairos’ of God in your life, here are a few observations.
First: Pay attention to what’s going on inside you and around you. Many miss the ‘kairos’ of God, mistaking it for their own good works. God is always up to something. Pay attention!
Second: Pray for God’s wisdom every day. You need His wisdom and perspective on everything you do.
Third: Release your time schedule (‘chronos’) for God’s. I know that God always seems to be late from your perspective. You want to be within His time zone, because it’s the perfect timing.
Fourth: Relinquish your rights to do things your way. Let God have His way in your life. His way is best!
God is up to something special in your life! Let Him do it! He wants to do His thing, in His way, in His time. Let Him!
