Every time I teach about living between two kingdoms, I notice a bit of a fog of confusion in the air in most people’s minds. It’s difficult to sort it all out. We live in man’s kingdom, then Jesus shows up, essentially announcing that the Kingdom of God was now present upon the earth and would supersede all other kingdoms. And, by making this announcement, Jesus was declaring himself as the King of this awesome Kingdom of God.

Most identify Jesus with the Church, however Jesus only mentioned the term “Church” on two occasions. Jesus was totally and completely about the dynamic and irreversible spread of the Kingdom of God on earth. Jesus taught the dynamic of the tiny seed: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches…. The Son of Man is the farmer who plants the good seed. The field is the world, and the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom.” (Matthew 13:31, 38)

Most believers are oblivious to their potential of making a Kingdom difference where they work or hang out. Most just don’t get their significance in the Kingdom. HOWEVER, when I come across someone who knows his/her Kingdom difference, it’s a most beautiful thing and is most encouraging!

Yesterday, while walking through the mall, I saw Rob Pelinka, the General Manager of the LA Lakers, walking nearby. When speaking with Rob, I told him how proud I am of how he handles himself in his new position. He quickly referenced how important it is to have a Kingdom presence in the various positions of the marketplace. Now, that’s the Kingdom infiltration strategy! There’s no flag waving or conversion tactics; only a Kingdom presence right where you are!
